Testing & Quality Assurance

I run testing functions on technology programmes — strategy, planning, execution, and the assurance reporting that sits between delivery and the steering committee. That covers test management on enterprise implementations, defining what “ready to release” actually means for a given release, and running the test team through SIT, UAT, and pre-production. I take engagements where quality is genuinely on the line: regulated industries, customer-facing platforms, programmes with a hard go-live date and material business risk if it slips.

Service Transition & Go-Live

Most programmes spend ninety per cent of their planning on the build and ten per cent on what happens after the cut. I work the other way around. Service transition covers operational readiness, cutover orchestration, hypercare structures, and the practical handover from project team to BAU support. I’ve run this end of programmes through complex multi-stream go-lives where the test of success isn’t whether the system went in, but whether the operations team could pick it up on Monday morning.

Technical Project & Programme Management

Delivery management for technology change. Plan, run, unblock, escalate, report, close. I take ownership of programmes or workstreams where the technical depth matters — where the PM has to read the architecture, challenge the estimates, and surface the integration risk before it lands in the schedule. Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, mixed delivery teams (client, integrator, contractor), and the usual mess of upstream and downstream dependencies.

Delivery Team Leadership

Leading the delivery side of a programme — test teams, transition leads, mixed onshore/offshore working arrangements. I take on team-lead and head-of-delivery roles on engagements that need someone running the people side, not just the schedule. Coaching, performance, working agreements, capability building — the things that decide whether a team produces or stalls.
